The Amble
The Amble, a 42-unit, luxury multifamily development at the base of Steamboat Springs Ski Resort in Steamboat Springs, CO. The Amble will consist of one five-story residential building housing 42 residential units, as well as 6,500 square feet of amenity space and 42 parking spaces.
The project is founded on conventional footings with precast basement walls and lowest level slab on grade. A steel framed podium is provided at level 1 consisting of steel framing with a composite concrete steel deck. Upper-level floors are framed utilizing, panelized, load bearing cold formed metal stud walls with 5” thick, long-span slab on composite metal deck. Sloped roofs utilize cold formed steel trusses. Precast concrete stair and elevator cores resist lateral loads with supplemental strap braced, cold form walls collecting and distributing lateral loads from the various roof forms. The project is under construction with an estimated completion date of early 2026.

Structural engineering for a 10-story, 440,000 gsf boutique hotel and condominium. The structure is founded on a waterproofed, concrete mat foundation supporting 3 ½ levels of precast concrete. Residential transition is down with precast concrete framing and transfer slab that is responsible for supporting up to 7 levels of residential space with cold formed bearing walls and long-span, concrete slab on metal deck floors. The upper roof structures are designed using steel framing with metal roof deck to create interior vaulted spaces in the upper level feature units. The lateral forces are primary resisted by precast concrete shear walls at stair and elevator cores. Additional lateral load collector elements, including both strap braced cold form walls and steel moment frames, are used to collect and distribute lateral loads at the various roof forms. The project is scheduled to begin construction Summer 2025.
